“This is Us. This is Brussels.” is an artistic and social design project that builds a human archive with the stories of 1000 people to make Brussels and the people of Brussels of the 2020s visible: a super-diverse, young, multifaceted and complex city in the heart of Europe.

In doing so, the artists and social designers will search for the past as well as the futures of Brussels inhabitants. They record and show their stories and expectations to discover and create new alliances and more us.

In June 2024, the “This is Us. This is Brussels” team asked me to give a personal and sensitive account of this ambitious and profoundly human project. In November, the following film was produced, as a window on the city of Brussels and its inhabitants.
